Celtics Take Command of Series Heading to Dallas
The Boston Celtics have seized a commanding 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals with a 105-98 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 on Sunday night. Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 22 points, while Kristaps Porzingis added 20 off the bench.
Luka Doncic paced the Mavericks with a 32-point triple-double, but it wasn't enough to stop the Celtics from pulling away in the second half. The Celtics' defense clamped down on Doncic in the third quarter, holding him to just six points on 2-of-9 shooting.
The Celtics will now head to Dallas for Games 3 and 4 of the series, which will be played on Tuesday and Thursday. The Mavericks will need to find a way to slow down Brown and Porzingis if they want to avoid falling into an 0-3 hole.
